Effective Leadership Skills
A common question many people moving up the ladder in their career have is about effective leadership skills. Though I believe these can be learned, I also believe that this is something that you are born with. There are certain traits that every human being has, and every person is different. Everyone has their strengths and their weaknesses, and we often have to learn to deal with what we are given. Leadership is one of those things that is so abstract that no one can really put a finger on the reason it is so strong in some and is existent in others.
I have always thought that effective leadership skills were something that you saw in a person at a very young age. If you have a four or five year old child who seems to be very natural at leading other children in play, you can expect that when they grow up they will have effective leadership skills. Though there are some circumstances in life that may negate this talent, for the most part, these children will be the ones who will maintain this sort of confidence later in life.
I have read many articles on effective leadership skills, and I have seen that many people like to disagree about what exactly that means. Well I’m sure you have all heard of Stompernet and its founders Andy “Blairwitch” Jenkins and Brad Fallon. Stompernet is without any doubt the biggest and most successful internet marketing membership online. A great way of learning time management and improving your personal life is to follow several basic activities.
One of them is to review your goals whether it be immediate or long-term goals often.
A way to do this is to keep a list that is always accessible to you.
Always determine which task is necessary or not necessary in achieving your goals and which activities are helping you maintain a balanced life style.
Each and everyone of us has a peek time and a time when we slow down, these are our natural cycles. We should be able to tell when to do the difficult tasks when we are the sharpest.
Learning to say “No”. You actually see this advice often. Heed it even if it involves saying the word to family or friends.
Pat yourself at the back or just reward yourself in any manner for an effective time management result.
Try and get the cooperation from people around you who are actually benefiting from your efforts of time management.
Don’t procrastinate. Attend to necessary things immediately.
Have a positive attitude and set yourself up for success. But be realistic in your approach in achieving your goals.
Have a record or journal of all your activities. This will help you get things in their proper perspective.
These are the few steps you initially take in becoming a well rounded individual.
As the say personal time management is the art and science of building a better life.
