Just after my daughter, our second child was born I had reached a stage where I was feeling tired all the time and quite lifeless. I’d had several visits with my doctor, and on each occasion I was informed that they couldn’t find any problems.
A friend of mine, who also happened to be a physiotherapist, intimated that I needed to detox my body, and generally learning about how to detox the body with a view to changing my eating habits. It sounded like a good idea, so figured it was a worthy investment of my time to at least check it out, and why so many alternative and complementary health practitioners recommend doing a detox and recommend starting with the week detox so avidly.
She also hinted to me to try a simple detox foot patch. I now treat myself to a foot massage at least once a week, if you don’t want to invest in a foot spa, the detox patches can do just as good a job - but doing it this way you miss out on the relaxing foot massage at the same time
So here’s my top tips about how to detox your body.
Herbal teas and water and plenty of both
Making sure you take in plenty of fluids is very important while you are following a detox diet as it will help your body flush out all the toxins. It also helps to prevent constipation, helps your internal organs function more efficiently, and helps reduce the signs of aging by plumping up your skin. On a normal day try to drink about 2 liters of water, and more when you exercise read more »

Most people over time do an excellent job of selecting a colon cleanse that works for them, but they fail miserably in deciding what diet to eat after a colon cleanse. This is as equally important as the cleanse itself.
Each year in the United States the average American consumes 150 pounds of sugar and 600 cans of pop; that is the equivalent of ingesting 55 teaspoons of sugar per person per day. No wonder then that we are a nation of overweight people who are dying every day of diabetes and heart disease. Leave sugar off your list of what diet to eat after a colon cleanse.
Junk foods and soft drinks contain dangerous levels of additives and chemicals in addition to sugar. Many of these products are laced with exitotoxins, such as MSG and aspartame. Exitotoxins are substances that are added to foods and beverages that literally stimulate neurons to death thus causing brain damage.
Water
In making up your mind about what diet to eat and drink after a colon cleanse, water should be the first on your list. All the experts agree that by drinking at least eight glasses of water every day you keep the colon doctor away. Even the cavemen discovered the more water they drank the easier it became to exit fecal material from their body. You should avoid unfiltered tap water at all costs since it may contain fluoride, arsenic, and other toxic substances.
Exercise
Number two on your list of what diet to eat after a colon cleanse should be exercise. Sure read more »

Many people take the word leadership a little too lightly. Many consider leadership to be something you’re given. Such is the case when people are promoted to management. They think that just because they have the word manager on their nametag or stamped on their door that they’re automatically a good leader. Or they think that because everyone is supposed to follow them, and others are supposed to do what they say, that others will actually follow them and do what they say. However, leadership is something you have to earn. It is something that can be taught but it has to start within you. You have to care about what you’re doing, about who you’re leading and you have to set an example if you want others to follow you.
Setting A Good Example
Nobody is going to follow your leadership if you don’t set a good example. For instance, if you are the manager over a group of people and you tell them not to take smoke breaks, then you go out and have a smoke break of your own, what are your ‘employees’, or subordinates, going to think? Are they going to follow you? They may do what you say because they don’t want to lose their job but they’re not going to respect you. They’re probably going to talk badly behind your back and the entire organization will suffer. Respect is a huge part of leadership.
Respect
You have to earn respect, just as you have to earn leadership. Respect is not something you can ins read more »
